Because I am always enthusiastic with Resurrection, instead of drawing pages for Quickening, I drew this, to alleviate my ah, restlessness even for the time being.

So I have a rough idea how many chapters Skiagraphia would take. Not more than 25. And the expected date of finishing it is next year. Or the year after it. Probably. After that … I want to dedicate a large amount of time for Resurrection.

LEUS: Let’s form a team, guys! We could travel to a lot of places and fight monsters and save the world!

The main protagonists of my three manga – Quickening, Resurrection, and Skiagraphia (QRS?! lol), respectively. Though Resurrection is still not a “manga”, technically, but, whatever.

(I secretly think Leus and Romi look cute together, but I don’t think Odelle and Caelum will be pleased.)

And here are the immediate supporting protagonists of the three (Yvette, Leia, and Caelum) as a response:

KIEL: Cain, my boy, there are three things a man needs to have in order for him to seduce a woman: looks, sex appeal, and a way with words. Thankfully, you got the first two, but you need to improve the third.
CAIN: Every time I talk to Yvette, she suddenly gets angry. I don’t know why.
ODELLE: [slaps Kiel’s hand away] Don’t listen to him, Cain! Just stay true to yourself! Yvette will love you just the way you are!
LEIA: When the three of you meet again for a heartbreak-induced drink, do invite me.

Because Kiel is a womaniser and Odelle is a romantic, and Leia just lets them harass poor little Cain.

Oh, look, a sketch back in 2009!

Resurrection, featuring Zephyrogue, and that blob of incomprehensible lines in the background is supposed to be Leus and Leia’s older brother, Levi (yeah, I like ‘em alliterative; they’re just their nicknames, anyway). The backstory is supposed to be that Zephyrogue is a wanted suspect for a crime he may or may not have committed. Nobody knows for sure because Zephyrogue refuses to give his side of the story and instead keeps on running away, increasing the government’s suspicion of him tenfold. Way to go, Zef.

Also, I have a fangirl crush on Levi, but that is neither here nor there. I also think it is a mortal sin to crush on your own characters.

EDIT: @debonairly: Zef is a difficult man. Guy. Young man. Whatever. He doesn’t want to go through the trouble of explaining what really happened.

And Levi. I do wonder how you were able to decrypt his appearance from all those messy lines. xD One day I’ll be able to draw a decent sketch of him, but right now, this is all I’ve got:

Yes, I only have old sketches of Resurrection, no new ones. Must remedy that some time.

This was a time when I still have another character for the main party. This character has a pet bird that transforms into a phoenix. That was scrapped. You can still see the bird-that-looks-like-Piyomon on the far right.

I still remember that I drew this during one of our seminars about making proper résumés. You can clearly figure out that I was paying attention to the speaker diligently. >.>

LEUS: Is that a Final Fantasy hero? I’m pretty sure that’s not even a Final Fantasy character.

LEIA: For the first time in my life, I have no words for this.

ODELLE: Is his chest sparkling?

KIEL: Wow, nice abs. Pfft.

To celebrate the E3 trailer of Final Fantasy XIII-2, here are the Resurrection characters dressed in FF characters. Well, most of them.

I’ve always wanted to draw my characters cosplaying my favourite anime/manga/vg characters. So this came about. Still an old sketch, though.

Since it’s established that Leus is a videogame addict, it is assumed that should Final Fantasy exist in his world, he knows it. And plays it. And has a whole collection of all those franchise Squeenix keeps on producing. And finished all the series 100%. And knows the complete dialogues by heart. You know: the works.

From right to left: Alcadion as Cloud (I messed up the outfit, I know; I had no references when I drew this); Kiel as Noctis (in the prototype outfit); Odelle as Terra; Leia as Lightning; Leus as Squall; and Zephyrogue as … Sasuke.

(I always poke fun at Zephyrogue because his reactions – well, his lack of reactions – are funny.)
