YVETTE: OBJECTION! Where are you going? I’m not done with you yet!CAIN: Of course, Yvette. Whatever you say. It’s obvious I like drawing these two together. ANYWAY. This was sketched way before Quickening made its début. It was still on the design stage, where character designs were tentatively finished. Yvette’s hair then was more … feathery? than the current Yvette has, I think. And I still couldn’t figure out how to get Cain’s hair right the way I want it to. I also try to make Cain’s smile distinct because it is one of his disarming qualities. And, yes, Cain’s sword has a scabbard. Another thing: the Quickening names will be revealed the next time they appear. If things go according to plan, the order is this: Yvette (yes, she’ll definitely finally use her Quickening) – Cain – Aimiff – Tony Other characters such as Linmei and Lawrence will get to display their Quickening in their full glory in due time. On an unrelated note, why am I thinking of a specific scene in another arc I should focus on Volume 2 right now DDD:

YVETTE: OBJECTION! Where are you going? I’m not done with you yet!
CAIN: Of course, Yvette. Whatever you say.
